Barbecue Pork Sandwiches

Pork tenderloin brushed with homemade barbecue sauce and baked until tender. Pork slices served on hamburger buns or sandwich rolls.
Ingredients -
1 (1-1/2 pound) package Pork Tenderloins
3 cups Hot Water
2/3 cup Ketchup
3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
2 tablespoons Honey
2 tablespoons Garlic Chili Paste
6 Gourmet Style Large Hamburger Buns
 
Preparation:

1. Preheat oven to 475 F.

2. Add 3 cups water to broiler pan.

3. Place pork tenderloin on broiler pan rack.

4. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, and garlic chili paste.

5. Divide sauce into 2 bowls.

6. Bake tenderloin 15 minutes.

7. While turning pork, brush with entire sauce mixture from 1 bowl.

8. Bake additional 15 minutes. Use meat thermometer to register internal temperature (should be 160 F.

9. Remove from oven.

10. Cool slightly.

11. Slice tenderloin and toss with reserved sauce.

12. Serve on gourmet style buns.

Check the “sell by” date on pork purchases. When possible buy pork the day you plan to prepare it, to insure that it is at its freshest.

Pork Shoulder
Cuts from the shoulder are less expensive, and contain more fat than tenderloins. Pork shoulder cuts are still very flavorful and tender.
