Asian Style Roast Pork Tenderloin

Pork tenderloin marinated in asian style marinade consisting of grated ginger, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, Chinese rice wine, soy sauce, and garlic. Tenderloin is baked in oven 30 minutes, and frequently basted with reserved marinade.
Ingredients -
2 tablespoons Chinese Rice Wine or Dry Sherry
2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
2 teaspoons Grated Ginger
2 cloves Garlic, pressed
1 pound Pork Tenderloin
 
Preparation:

1. In a small bowl, combine Chinese rice wine, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and garlic.

2. Place pork tenderloin in medium casserole dish. Coat with marinade. Cover casserole dish with foil or plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.

3. Preheat oven to 400 F.

4. Remove pork from casserole dish. Retain marinade.

5. Place pork on oven rack over roasting pan.

6. Bake tenderloin 30 minutes, basting occasionally with reserved marinade.

7. Slice ¼-inch thick slices to serve.

Chinese rice wine is widely used in Chinese cooking and readily available in supermarkets. Substitute some chicken broth with a splash of vinegar, if necessary.
